Galvez Primary Beta Club serves and impacts our community by participating in service projects. A few of the service projects that we participate in are Helping Hands, donations to Cara's House and donations for our overseas soldiers. Our Helping Hands project is where we help kids learn and have a good time in class. This helps them stay motivated. Another project we've done this year was donating pet items to the local animal shelter, Cara's House. For our donations to Cara’s House  we collected items like pet food, pet toys, blankets, cleaning supplies and more. We also collected donations to send to your soldiers who are serving our country overseas. We were excited to collect items for the service men and women who serve our country everyday.

Students in 4th and 5th grade have the opportunity to join our school’s 4-H Club.  Each month, an agent from the Ascension Parish 4-H office comes to share a hands-on learning experience with the club members.  4-H members also have the opportunity to participate in club contests and community service projects. For example, this past Thanksgiving the 4-H Club sponsored a school wide canned food drive.  During this drive, over 5000 canned food items were collected for a local food pantry.  Students are also encouraged to participate in parish and state wide 4-H activities and contests, which include raising and showing livestock, participating in summer camp, and monthly cooking contests.
